Autumn-Winter Choices

Keep your MUST-HAVE items simple!

A question often put to me when a new season comes upon us is:

What should I buy to update my wardrobe?

This season can be quite confusing to people, I think it’s great but there is a great quantity of different trends to confuse a lot of people and those trends do not suit every shape and size!

Are you looking for a new winter coat?

Should you go for belted, double breasted, funnel necks or wide lapels?

If you are top heavy with a short waist then none of the above are really for you and would not be a good investment.

I adore the 1940s influences around in dresses and suits.

The suit jackets are quite short, very fitted with waistlines clinched in and I think personally a lot of people are able to adapt this look to suit them.

Remember whilst shopping, retailers whoever they are, are influenced by trends from the catwalk.

Don’t Despair.

I can offer you a WARDROBE MAKEOVER service costing you less than a new outfit would. I will re-acquaint you with what you already have.

I will show you how to combine your existing items creating completely new outfits.

Pieces collecting dust may well be worth getting dry cleaned. Clothes pushed at the back of the wardrobe perhaps need a repair that you never got round.

Let me show you how to accessorise in the right way to save you money and look bang up to date for your shape without breaking the bank.

Safe Shirt

Yes, you could say the crisp white shirt is the best item for a guy. It’s sharp and it’s smart.

White doesn’t suit a lot of people unless you have an olive or darker skin.

Be sharper and smarter…….

Opt for a cream tone. This you will find to be so much warmer for your complexion. You won’t look so pale and washed out.

Wear to the office, a dress down day or at the weekend to get maximum use.

Perfect with autumn colours through to spring and beyond.

2. On its own and open collar.
3. Under a colourful thin knit or jacket.
4. Turn up your sleeves and wear with jeans.

ON TREND MATTERS @ BODY KIND

You know, it’s not just about following the latest trends in fashion.
As I’ve mentioned before today style is about looking good effortlessly and feeliing fab from head to toe.

That ‘feel good’ factor that every girl needs a once in a while.

1. You get your hair styled, a cut and a few shades perhaps to keep an on-trend style continuing.

2. Your style of dress continues - yes you buy the odd fashion fix to compliment your wardrobe classics.

Unhappy still? When you look in the mirror, do you find something still isn’t right? When applying your make up, perhaps you’re not 100% happy and this can also knock your confidence. Perhaps skin blemishes, you’ve noticed your skin starting to sag?

WELL, HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU!

Celebrities in America and UK are stopping the plastic surgery and opting for the safe option the non-surgical facelift

3.
MICROCURRENT FACIAL.

I have just been along to visit Jill Ingham, Director of Body Kind, Thorpe Bay and experience my first course of treatment! I notice the difference already - amazing results.

You want to know more……
This is a relaxing facial treatment that re-educates your facial muscles by stimulating them and reprogramming your muscle fibres. A Microcurrent treatment mirrors your body’s own natural current and works in harmony with your body’s electrical system.

What are the benefits? I hear you ask!

Well, a Microcurrent treatment is used to combat the signs of ageing and to enhance the absorption of moisturising products, offering you the following benefits and more besides:-

FACIAL LIFTING AND CONTOURING, IMPROVING SKIN COLOUR AND TEXTURE, SMOOTHES FINE LINES BY ATTRACTING COLLAGEN TO THE SITE, REDUCES PUFFINESS AND DARK CIRCLES AROUND THE EYES.

What better time to book an appointment with Jill.
The Cost £28.00 for an individual treatment or better still book in for a course of treatments at ONLY £20 - 5 treatments for the price of 4!

I have always suffered with my sinuses and my eyes get really dry and puffy. I started to see a difference in my skin particularly when I reached 35+ - it was no longer as taught as I was used to.

I have never agreed with BOTOX and was thrilled when Jill bought this latest machine. It’s painless and I can quite easily see it being a ’safe addiction’. Why?
I noticed a difference just after a 45 minute session and I can’t wait til next week. I bumped into people that I know in The Broadway and remarked on how well I looked. What had changed?

That’s my secret I’m sharing with you!

Jill’s salon I don’t regard as a typical beauty salon. Jill and her team have a very holistic approach, a calming atmosphere and very private and confidential approach.

Microcurrent has been used on the human body since the 1940s, and presents an alternative to lasers and infrared phototherapy commonly applied to the facial area for skin rejuvenation.

ENHANCE YOUR APPEARANCE

Incorporate just £20 into your beauty regime budget or if you have a special event/function treat yourself or put it down as a present.

I am pleased to say I feel totally fresh, my skin feels alive and yes I could even look 10 years younger!!

………a circulating facial workout - so relaxing!! xx

How to Layer

What’s the point of layering clothes?

Layering has benefits to keep you warm, it’s practical and you’ll look good.

Some people in the fashion/design industry have recently been heard saying that Layering is a new ‘on-trend’ feature.

I disagree. It’s always on-trend in my opinion. It’s people being clever and utilising all of their wardrobe. Yes, it’s more perfect than ever that it is being highlighted and recessionistas are making the most of it.

It’s knowing what you need to add to your basics and gain the maximum benefit out of your wardrobe.

Summer/Winter wardrobes stay as one and a WARDROBE MAKEOVER helps people in lots of different ways to make the best out of what they have.

Casual Up and Smarten Down is the key.
Never layer with a single colour.
Shorter stature people - wear longer scarves and jewels as too much
layering can work against you. Add extra height with heels, hat or
high hairstyle.
Longer stature people - layering is great as different items chop your silhouette.
There’s no strict rule - try lighter under darker colours and vice versa.

In the Office:

You’ve got a suit hanging up in your wardrobe and it’s just not appealing to you anymore?
Wear it separately with other items and get creative. Find out how to adapt this and other garments in different ways
experiment with waistcoats, belts and scarves can give a totally
changed look teamed with statement jewellery.

eg: The Office Dress (but why keep it as an ‘Office’ dress?)

Our clothes are needed for more than one purpose and why not when clothes take so much away from our budget.

The dress can be used in so many different ways:

Wrap a belt round it and if it has one already then opt for a
different one.
Try a blouse/shirt underneath it - even try 2 different style
collars!
Then think about an over layer as in a waistcoat rather than
a jacket or cardigan.
Wear with bare legs, footless tights and heels and a pair of
evening trousers.

BASICS TO COMPLIMENT A DRESS: Shirt/Blouse, Cardi/Jacket, Waistcoat, Camisole Top, Scarves, Jersey Tops x 3, leggings, different footwear, trousers, jeans, footless tights, jewellery.

eg: Be feminine in a pair of Jeans

Don’t just think jeans as a ’slobbing about’ item. Pay more
on a pair and enjoy.
Wear with summer wardrobe items and layer up.
Put with a winter jacket too.
Casual walking boots in a complimenting colour.

eg: Sun dress/Top

Purchase a jersey top in different necklines.
These work perfectly well under those sun-dresses doing
nothing unless you are in a warm climate or on holiday, they
are only giving you less room if you’re not wearing them. Why
put them somewhere else - wear them!

Camisole/full length slip under your dress
A short cardigan

A full length jacket and tied with a belt in contrasting colour.

A floral dress, sweater tied with belt and knee high boots
is a great look.

How about looking at what you have in your wardrobe and purchase the opposite to what you have?

eg: Choose a different neckline
different collars
Opt for roll neck jerseys
Choose different hemlines on tops
Purchase a tank top and wear with a long open neck shirt.
For a more casual look - tie your long shirt in a knot at
the front and wear with a pair of jeans and a silk scarf.
Wear a belt on the outside ie: your outerwear.
Utilise your denim jacket more by wearing something that
has a hood underneath it.
A sweater over a long cuffed shirt with the cuffs up turned looks
great accentuating the layered look simply.
Be sure to wear a loose garment over a tight garment otherwise
can look a little cluttered however, you can always try a belt.
Don’t be a fashion victim but buy odd fashion pieces to layer.
Variety all the way in different lengths, patterns, colours and
textures.

Everyone is an individual and should dress as that - here’s your chance to experiment with your own design.
Accentuate your best assets.

Any issues, contact me.

Dating UK

People should realise differences are beautiful that’s what makes us ‘UNIQUE’.

Dating someone gets to the forefront of people’s minds at this time of year as Christmas is soon upon us.

It’s important for people to have someone close to them even if it’s for companionship and not necessarily a full blown relationship.

You want to be made to feel special and YOU are.

You especially need that confidence boost, can’t lose the weight but need to feel special, confident and comfortable.

SO WHAT DOES MATTER?

First impressions count!
You are what you wear and this is influenced on how good you feel about yourself. You wear black when meeting someone - it might not be showing your personality at its best?

Flatter your assets!

I am able to defiine a unique sense of style tailored to suit your personality.

Why not take a look at what you’re wearing right now?
Does your outfit say to people YES you are gorgeous and feeling fabulous?

If not, call me because it’s ‘YOU’ time.

Most have something black in their wardrobe. But it still really amazes me that so many people out there have black as their comfort colour.

Colours can of course still be worn once fall/winter is here (don’t put them away just because the sun may not be hot) but blend with the black you have. Have fun with other colours too.

Opt for a deep purple and a turquoise for example rather than black. A deep blue is another alternative and works well with a lighter shade of purple.

Don’t get overlooked - whatever your shape or size - there’s a chance for everyone and be proud to be you.

Why not give me a call/contact me using my on-line form?

This could be your best Christmas, New Year present to you to take away with you forever.
