TIPS: Men’s Self Confidence

Filed under: Fashion, STYLE, Wardrobe Makeover — Tags: , , — Michelle @ 8:06 am

1. A positive self-image.
2. Boost energy levels.
3. Plan some flexible goals for yourself.
4. Think about how you talk - slow, low and loud.
5. Be sharply dressed.

OK, clothes don’t make who you are but they can certainly make a difference and there’s no one more to be more conscious of your physical appearance than yourself.

When you don’t look good, it changes the way you interact with others. Take care of your personal appearance, you know what I mean, the usual stuff shaving, wearing clean and ironed clothes. Keep in touch with the latest styles in tune with your budget.

Select and buy quality clothes that will stay in style for longer rather than a load of cheap clothes that just won’t last and stay in shape and the end result in the long run, more money in your wallet and a decluttered wardrobe.

The more self confidence you have, the more likely you will succeed.

Personally YOU

Filed under: Fashion, Shopping, Wardrobe Makeover — Tags: , , — Michelle @ 8:39 am

Spent too much money already?
Eating too much, drinking too much and come January wished you hadn’t!?

A recession going on, companies cutting back on staff but hey shopping this week could not believe the amount of people buying. In one shop, and this was on a mid-week day at 11 am the queue for the till was at the start of the shop for the tills!!

With my work, I am seen as something that will wait or an unnecessary luxury.

I don’t just see clients who do lunch in expensive restaurants.
I don’t take trips to the most exclusive department store in London.
I never make my client’s feel uncomfortable by adding pressure.
I never take them shopping for items they simply cannot afford.
It’s not like I tell you how to dress.
It’s not like I specify my clients only to wear certain colours.

My clients are people from any background.
My clients are taken to shops to suit them.
My clients feel comfortable when they first call me on the phone.
I take my clients anywhere according to their budget.
I love giving my clients 100% attention in a Wardrobe Makeover or Shopping Session specifically designed for them.
I love to see the smile on my clients faces when I leave.

Do you think you just can’t wear certain shades?
Do you wish you could also be sophisticated and elegant?
Do you get stuck on what to wear?
Do you find it difficult knowing what to buy?
Do you get embarrassed to ask?
Do you want to change your look for 2010?

Some things in life can happen if you let them, only you can make that first step.

Glisten on the Catwalk Cruise Collection

What to wear for a cruise?
Sophisticated Evening Entertainment.
Never to be seen in the same dress as someone else!
Could you imagine, sitting at the Captain’s Table only to be next to someone wearing the same dress!!

Cruises are for any age, for families, couples, singles looking for companionship.
Which one are you booked on?

The idea is to shop at different places, boutiques, internet and limited edition ranges in department stores.

In your wardrobe selection should be a couple of worthwhile investment designer pieces. This is a great idea as once you’ve been on one cruise, you can’t wait to book up the next.
Purchase classic timeless pieces.
You will be able to update your wardrobe in other ways than just continually buying ’special occasion wear’ by inviting me to your home for a wardrobe makeover before your cruise.

Have you ever browsed in a vintage shop? A dress agency? Take a peek in the odd charity shop too.

A shopping session is a worthwhile investment too. Once I have had a look at your wardrobe, I will see what pieces can be worked with for your new exquisite annual collection rather than you spending money on endless dresses that are hardly ever worn.

Your Cruise Collection should be kept and looked after, if space allows in a different part of your wardrobe or separate area if at all possible. These are your extra special items - the ‘Elite’ part of your wardrobe.

The collection I have selected are purely to give you on-trend style ideas.

A plain dress in an on-trend colour could be created uniquely for you, for example with Swarvoski crystal work, pearls and lampwork beading.

Can you work with special 80’s wear doing nothing in your wardrobe?

Glitz, Glam, Shimmer, Sparkle and Cocktails is your mindset.

Life outside a cruise ship is just the same, so don’t let anything spoil it by spending too much needlessly.

My EVENING CRUISE COLLECTION as follows:

Of course any of the above can easily be adapted with on-trend accessories for a wedding or special function anytime of the year too.

MENSWEAR AUTUMN STYLE

Filed under: Autumn/Winter 09, Fashion, Shopping, Wardrobe Makeover — Tags: , , — Michelle @ 12:59 am

A chunky knit to a statement coat….just 2 trends that may work for your wardrobe this autumn to combine tailoring and different textures.

Menswear is as important to me and has been seen to be getting stronger each year as Ladieswear.

WHAT TO BUY?

What would I recommend for a winter coat?

Think of this purchase as an investment to be worn at work or special occasions and will last for future seasons. There is so much choice out there from military-style to a mixed wool classic.

When you try on the coat, the coat should be flattering to your height falling just around the knee. A loose style generally is more flattering to your trouser.

What would I recommend for a strong trend piece?

The catwalk saw the ‘chunky knit’ a strong trend. Large necks, sleeves and collars. A hand-knitted look (and it’s not like a relative would knit you years ago)…..worn right, a masculine, yet sexy look. So as not to appear chunky, make sure the length is short and another idea depending on the style, layer with a long shirt underneath to lengthen and flatter your silhouette.

What colours? I only ever see black or grey!

Everyone needs a bit of colour in their life. Look outside and nature is colour…….Green is everywhere and is one of the seasonal on-trend shades and blends well with black and grey.

Check out different high street stores and your favourite designers.

Autumn-Winter Choices

Keep your MUST-HAVE items simple!

A question often put to me when a new season comes upon us is:

What should I buy to update my wardrobe?

This season can be quite confusing to people, I think it’s great but there is a great quantity of different trends to confuse a lot of people and those trends do not suit every shape and size!

Are you looking for a new winter coat?

Should you go for belted, double breasted, funnel necks or wide lapels?

If you are top heavy with a short waist then none of the above are really for you and would not be a good investment.

I adore the 1940s influences around in dresses and suits.

The suit jackets are quite short, very fitted with waistlines clinched in and I think personally a lot of people are able to adapt this look to suit them.

Remember whilst shopping, retailers whoever they are, are influenced by trends from the catwalk.

Don’t Despair.

I can offer you a WARDROBE MAKEOVER service costing you less than a new outfit would. I will re-acquaint you with what you already have.

I will show you how to combine your existing items creating completely new outfits.

Pieces collecting dust may well be worth getting dry cleaned. Clothes pushed at the back of the wardrobe perhaps need a repair that you never got round.

Let me show you how to accessorise in the right way to save you money and look bang up to date for your shape without breaking the bank.
