A lot of his models were dressed in black and lace - romantically stunning in my opinion for the 2009-2010 Collection in Paris.
I would be very disappointed if this the end for couturier Christian Lacroix due to cashflow being really tight but with the aide of his friends and supporters he managed to have models being donated and rightly so hair stylists cutting their fees for him to display such artistry with creativity.
Unfortunately, many are struggling to survive unless they are part of a massive fashion corporation with a world-wide marketing machine.
So who would be willing to back Christian Lacroix’ team?
I have owned one beautiful piece and then one year before moving to another property recycled the most beautiful colourful jacket to a friend.
Over the years, there has been many an evening whilst drinking wine and champagne whereby as the evening climaxes I take my girlfriends (leaving the guys downstairs) and we sort through my clothes. Each taking it turns in trying each item on. It was a lot of fun but I do miss my embroidered CHRISTIAN LACROIX green and orange vibrant velvet jacket.
You would really stand out in the crowd with any Christian Lacroix piece.
