ONE-PIECE
If you have a prominent tummy, then this is great, especially if there is side gathering. High cut lets will detract attention from your tummy area too and you want to make the most of your legs. Belted 1-pieces are great if your waist is tiny and look out for block colours if you are curvy to elongate your frame.
TWO-PIECE
This is a good option if you have wide hips and/or a smallish bust.
Side string ties will elongate your legs. Halter necks and ruched tops create a balanced bustline and ruched bandeau tops are very flattering.
The trend at the moment is to purchase contrasting top and bottoms rather than them matching. It’s great dark colour where you want to divert attention and bright/light color to maximise the attention.
TANKINI
These are great if you have a smaller bottom and are long bodied, but if your rear is large then no high waisted and none that completely cover your cheeks! This look is so old-fashioned!
KEYHOLE SWIMSUITS
Definite trend for next year as they have been seen on the catwalks.
Great to purchase one of these if you have a large bust as long as well supported with underwire to add glamour at the poolside.
HALTER NECK STYLE
If you have a boyish look then this is great to show off your sexy shoulders to accentuate your width, the Halter Neck style will also enlarge your bust area.
However, if you are larger busted this is not for you.
TRIANGLE TOPS
Advise padded if you are small busted.
BANDEAU
These can flatter a boyish figure especially if they are textured.
SHORTS
Only wear if you have long legs otherwise they will drown your legs!
SARONG
Wrap one of these loosely around you to hide anything you don’t want to be on show.
LARGE HAT, SHADES
Is for that film star wonder.
WEDGES/PRETTY JEWELLED FLATS
If you have short legs or are not entirely happy with your figure, wedges are a great recommendation. Jewelled flats look fab too worn with a sarong. I would buy one of each to have a different look.
